An argument around a fire pit on Shelter Island ended in gunfire Saturday night that wounded three men.

San Diego Police said two of the men who were arguing pulled out guns and shot each other, as well as a third man.

The victims were aged 22, 23 and 24. All were hospitalized with wounds that were not considered life-threatening.

The shooting occurred around 9 p.m. at 2000 Shelter Island Drive.

Police said there was no threat to the general public and detectives were investigating the incident.
