The San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency reported 345 new COVID-19 infections and one death Monday.

The new data increased the county’s cumulative coronavirus totals to 759,299 cases and 5,239 deaths.

The data follows a weekend with 932 new infections counted Saturday and 516 Sunday. The HHSA does not report COVID statistics on weekends or holidays.

The number of COVID-positive patients in San Diego County hospitals decreased by one person to 96, according to the latest state data.

More than 2.94 million or 93.4% of San Diegans age 5 and older are at least partially vaccinated, while more than 2.6 million or 82.8% are fully vaccinated. A total of 1,301,056 or 58% of 2,242,187 eligible San Diegans have received a booster shot.

So far 3.9% of county residents with confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been hospitalized and 0.7% have died of the disease.
