A woman was seriously injured Saturday when her bicycle collided with a Toyota in Torrey Pines, police said.
The woman, 55, was riding her bike north on 10900 N. Torrey Pines Road at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. A woman, 79, was driving a Toyota Rav-4 north when the bicyclist swerved to the left and collided with her, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The impact with the vehicle caused the bicyclist to fall to the ground and suffer serious, but non-life threatening, injuries. An ambulance transported her to a local hospital.
Traffic Division responded and will investigate. Alcohol was not a factor in the collision.
