May is a special time for Cabrillo Credit Union.
During the month-long fundraising campaign, ‘May Means Business’, Cabrillo raised $44,000, to support Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego, tying its all-time highest donation record.
Throughout the fundraising campaign, credit unions around the country raise money for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Despite the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was able to come together as a community to help the children of San Diego.
Cabrillo members, staff, and partners generously donated to this worthy cause and in addition to its fundraising efforts, Cabrillo introduced its first cause-based campaign, where they donated every time members used their debit and credit cards. This contributed more than $20,000 toward the fundraiser.
In addition, Cabrillo Credit Union received a generous $10,000 grant from CO-OP Financial Services, through their Miracle Match Program.
“Cabrillo Credit Union’s partnership with Rady Children’s Hospital is stronger than ever. I am grateful and humbled by our employee’s and members’ commitment to raising money for such an amazing organization. The generosity of the Cabrillo Credit Union community is inspiring,” said Kevin Posey, Cabrillo Credit Union CEO.
