With Comic-Con and Opening Day of the Del Mar Races already sold out, thousands of people will be flocking to these popular summer events this week.
To ease the expected regional gridlock, the North County Transit District reminds event goers that COASTER provides inexpensive and easy access to both San Diego Comic-Con and the Del Mar Races.
Comic-Con July 21 – July 24
Attendees of this year’s San Diego Comic-Con can take advantage of the COASTER and ride to its final stop at Santa Fe Depot Station in downtown San Diego. From there, passengers can transfer to MTS Trolley to the Convention Center.
Del Mar Races July 22 – Sept. 11
Attendees for Opening Day or any race day this season can take COASTER to the Solana Beach Station and transfer to the free Del Mar Races shuttle, running approximately every 15 minutes. Opening Day is Friday, July 22, and summer races and events run Thursdays through Sundays until Sept.11.
