Two men, a woman and a teenage boy were arrested Tuesday for allegedly taking part in a gang-related shooting that left a passing driver wounded in a neighborhood near Sweetwater Reservoir.

Janet Fuentes, 32, Miguel Januel Fuentes, 36, Eddie Padilla, 21, and the boy were taken into custody Tuesday morning at homes in the 12900 block of Mapleview Street in Lakeside and the 3500 block of 40th Street in San Diego, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

The underage suspect’s name was withheld because he is a juvenile.

The suspects allegedly were involved in an Aug. 18 shooting that took place as they were arguing with residents about spray-painted graffiti in the area of Apple Street and Grand Avenue in Spring Valley.

The gunfire did not injure the targeted people, but left a motorist passing through the area with non-fatal wounds, sheriff’s Sgt. Noah Zarnow said.

At the residences where the four alleged gang members were taken into custody, detectives seized two 9mm unserialized ghost guns, a .40-caliber handgun, high-capacity magazines and about 1,100 rounds of ammunition, Zarnow said.
