The Padres suffered an old-fashioned drubbing Sunday as the Los Angeles Dodgers pounded them 10-2 to take two out of three to complete their first series of the year.

Sean Manaea fell to 2-2 after giving up seven runs – including home runs by Freddy Freeman and Cody Bellinger – during his four innings of work.

“It’s a rare outing for him, put it that way,” manager Bob Melvin said of Manaea’s difficult outing.

Bellinger added a second homer, a three-run shot, off Dinelson Lamet, as the Dodgers broke it open in the fifth inning to take an 8-1 lead. Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw went five innings to improve to 3-0.

The Friars managed a run off Kershaw in the fourth, when Wil Myers singled to drive in Manny Machado. Trailing by nine, they added a run in the seventh on a ground out by Trent Grisham to score Eric Hosmer.

The team dropped the series opener to the Dodgers 6-1, then beat L.A. in 10 innings Saturday 3-2.

In other developments, Luke Voit’s biceps injury will send him to the 10-day injured list. The club called up Luis Campusano to take his place.

The Padres, who went 6-4 on their opening home stand, head to Cincinnati to begin a three-game series after an off day Monday. Starters Joe Musgrove, MacKenzie Gore and Nick Martinez are slated to face the Reds, who have the worst record in baseball at 3-13.

The trip also will take the team to Pittsburgh and Cleveland.
